My Screenshots

I will use this page to post screenshots of my iPhone. It will be a showcase of some of the capabilities of the phone once you jailbreak it.

This is my current layout. It is the iCatalystHD theme, with a couple of tweaks. Because I am on the iPhone 3G, the icons with the iCatalystHD theme won't work for me. I like the theme alot though, and really dig the Live Weather feature on it, so what I did was add the iSatinCarbon icons. In order to get those to work with the theme, I had to put them on the top in Winterboard. They would not change a few of the stock icons, so I put those down in the dock and changed the mail icon to the Gmail icon mod. I also used a Blue iPod icon as well, I don't like the stock orange one. All in all, I think it turned out pretty cool.
This is my charging battery lockscreen with the iFlat for iOS4 theme. As you can see, the battery indicator is a circle instead of boring old flat indicator. Also, the "Slide to Unlock" text "shimmers". It is probably the best part, however, you can't see it unless you are actually looking at the phone live. Also not that the arrow on the slider was changed as well as the color scheme of the status bar.

Another incidental detail....notice on the battery status icon at the top that the percentage of charge is shown. This would not seem special except for the fact that I have a 3G, and that is not a capability of the 3G, only the 3GS and iPhone4. That is a tweak you can add after jailbreaking. Funny thing is, that I put that tweak on the first time I JB the phone. When I restored to factory(removed the JB), the percentage indicator stayed.....hmmmm. Still haven't figured out why.

Here is my Home Page with the iFlat theme enabled, but with a couple of tweaks of my own. I really like the icon set on iFlat so I enabled that theme. Then I set the Home Page wallpaper to the one you see (I like the look, and it goes well with the Weather Widget). To change the home page wallpaper from the stock one that comes with any theme, you need to install User Wallpaper 4.0 (if on iOS4) from Cydia or Rock and enable it in Winterboard. Remember to drag it to the top of the list in WB though or it won't work. Now the weather widget. This was a little tricky because the iFlat theme comes with a Time and Date Widget that goes across the bottom row of icons. How does it do that? Glad you asked, you download iBlank (see my Top Cydia Apps page). So anyway, what I did was download the iWeather Widget b/c it is one of the few that are compatible with iOS4. Then I had to go into the system files and change a few things (this can be done with OpenSSH or iFile, i used iFile because the changes can be made right on the iPhone). I went into the files for iFlat and removed the Time/Date widget, thus allowing the iWeather Widget to display in it's place. Then I had to go into the files for iWeather and change the location (it was preset to Cupertino), which was an easy change, and voila! you have what you see above. Also note the redesigned badge and the fact that there are 5 icons in the dock and, also, no dock. There is a program called 5Icon Dock that allows 5 icons, and one called Transparent Dock 4.0 that will give you the look I have here.NOTE: this is my current theme and I will be hard pressed to change it.

I had this one for a while. It is called the Dark Apple Theme. I like the sleek, mysterious look of it. My favorite part of this was using iBlank to give me that look with the icons stacked down the middle. It is a cool theme. This is another theme that gives a really cool icon set.

This one shows off the time when I was using After Hours, which you can find on my Themes page. Again, i used iBlank here to be able to put the icons where I wanted them. The "chrome" look on this theme is just stunning if you ask me.

And just in case anyone has missed it: Blue and Black are a color combination that really catch my eye :-)

Same After Hours theme, just with a different background. And also with a couple of other minor tweaks. I changed the text color to blue through Winterboard. And I also use Icon Text Glow. That gives the text that....ummm....glow.....hmmm, yeah that makes sense.
